Florida Trip 2013!!

Hi Everyone!

If you didn't know, my Grandma and I went to Fort Myers Beach Florida a few week ago. I had an awesome time and I just wanted to show you guys some pictures that I took while I was there!

The front view of my Grandfather's condo.

At this dock, I fished and I got a really huge fish. If you want
to catch a fish, use shrimp it's really good stuff!

Love seeing little lizards while I go for a peaceful walk.

Heading down to Times Square. There's shops and the lovely beach
at Times Square.

This little feller was following me around at the beach. I thought he was a beautiful bird.

Here are some lovely pictures of the beach. I can hear the ocean right now. I wish I can just pop through the picture and be there.

Me and my Grandma at Ted's Montana Grill. I
love this place to go and have a yummy buffalo
burger.

Speaking about food, this was the biggest strawberry that I
    ever had!

Here we come Florida, bye-bye Vegas!
In this picture my Grandam and I are headed back
to Vegas BOO!!!! We had a rough night with delaying and
cranky airline people. ( I'll explain more about it in the next
podcast episode.

Hello fellow knitters!

Wow, the last time I blogged was back in February! Sorry about that everyone. I have been busy with school ( witch is over with now) and of course busy with crafting. If you follow my YouTube channel you know that I have been posting videos on there as well, so I really haven't been gone for too long. I have just been gone sitting down and typing up a blog post for you all.

I am glad to be back blogging. I have been thinking though about changing up the blog a little bit. Yes, I will be always be posting about my crafting journeys but I am thinking about posting about my life a little more. Like vacations, school, friends, and much more. Please feel free to give me some feed back about that. Speaking about vacations I am going to be leaving for Florida on the night of June 17. Omg I can't wait, and I can't wait to share about my adventure with you all! Also if you haven't know already through my videos that I will be displaying a display of all of my crafty creations that i have made in the Laughlin library in July!  So, this summer is going to be so much fun.

Stay tuned for some fun blog post!

Happy February!

Hi Everyone!
So February is now here, and I am excited about it! Valentine's day is almost here and I want to talk about what you can make for the love of your life or anyone that you love! Valentine's day doesn't have to be about romance it can be just about giving your love to your pet, mom, dad, grandma, or just family in general. The most classic gift is a box of chocolate or a teddy bear! If your a crafty person like me you like to do something out of the box!

Now if you don't knit or spin or even sew you can make a cute little gift just by using house hold items! Like you can take a mug and paint a love note or just a cute funny saying! I know when I was a kid that is what I did when I was in kindergarden - 5th grade. That is an easy project that kids or even adults can do! You can get the supplies at Walmart, Joanns, or any craft store near you!

Now if you are a teen like me and you want to do something a little bit harder or something that you want to put some effort into you can make sew a heart pillow! You can use a needle or thread or a sewing machine for this one! You can print out a big heart from Google and you can get about a yard or 2 of red fleece or felt and trace that heart on there. Than you can cut it out and sew all the way around the heart leaving about a 5inch gap so you can stuff it with pollifill! This is a cute gift to give to anyone! If I was making this I would put a cute saying on the pillow! This thoughtful gift is fun to make and very inexpensive! Again you can get these supplies at Joann's, Walmart, or any craft store near you!

So, I hope these two easy projects helped you guys out a little! Remember you don't have to gift a gift on Valentine's day to someone you can just say a ''I love you''.

Happy Knitting!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hey everyone!!!!!
Sorry that I haven't been posting on the blog like I promised you guys in the begging of the year. School is a lot lately and other ''teen'' stuff going on. I don't know why I call it teen stuff, but ya know just life in general.
I been crafting like a storm lately! I finished my dress while watching ''Miss America'', Spud from Spud N Chloe at the Farm, hand spun yarns and etc! I guess I can just get into and show pictures of the crafty things I guess!

So, I just finished Spud From Spud N Chloe at the Farm By Susan B. Anderson! I knitted my Spud out of Lion Bran Wool Ease in the Fisherman colorway. I also used Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in a red color, and Red Heart Super Saver yarn in a tan color. I knitted this cute sheep on a size US 6 4.0mm. I really recommend this pattern or this book to any knitter! Its a fun book and it has such great patterns in it!

Here are a few pictures of my Spud ;)

Spud says HELLO!
The back of Spud
Spud's hair! Its so cute isn't
it?

His cute bow tie!
=)

I've also have been planning on what type of sweater I want to knit! As you all may know I got a huge box of yarn from one of my viewers and she gave me tons of sweater yarn to knit with. I am planning to make a sweater out of Knitpicks City Tweed HW in the Orca colorway! It is a lovely yarn and I think I have 8 or 9 skeins of it! Do you have a suggestion? If so, please contact me though the blog, email, or through Ravelry! Here is a picture of the yarn that I am thinking about using for my sweater/cardigan!

I did contact LALA of the ''Theknitgirllls'' to see on what she thinks of what type of sweater I can knit! I'll let you all know on what she thinks!

Well my friends, that's it for now! Dinner is ready and I need to get ready for school tomorrow! Hope you all have a wonderful evening and thanks for reading!

A massive thank you to Judy aka Miazoe

There is this lovely lady on Ravelry name Judy aka Miazoe. She messaged me a couple weeks go saying she is going to send me a huge yarn and fiber package in the mail! Like I said before I always get really happy when I get fan mail! So today, I got her package and WOW she sent me so much lovely stuff! I just can not believe it! When I was opening up the package, my mom and dad were sitting on the couch watching my smile getting bigger and bigger. My mom thought the yarn and fiber was so beautiful as well...hmm maybe if she like the yarn so much she can start knitting with me. Anyways I love it all Judy and you made my day!

Just to let all of my viewers know, I love you all and to everyone who sent me a package I love everything you guys sent me! To Judy, Deb, Marissa, and Tracy and to everyone else who sent me a package I am really greatful for every little thing! I love you all! =)

What's been going on????

Hi everyone!!

So If you read the last blog post I told you all that I am going to try to blog 2 to 3 times a week. That is what I am doing here today for you all! I am just going to tell you guys today what is going on in my crafting and in my teenage life.

This is a view from my Uncle's house,
and yes he does live out in the
middle of the dessert.
I was in Arizona the past week, visiting my Uncle and my Grandma. I had a lot of fun with both of them, but some of the stuff was stressful...I'm not going to go into details you just had to be there to see why. I did take some really pretty pictures while I was there tho and I was thinking hmm maybe I can share them with you guys. Now when I was down there, it was around 19 degrees and snowing just a little. I love the cold by the way.

While I was in Arizona, I was knitting on a pair of socks. I only brought socks with me because they are easy and mindless if you have a easy stitch pattern. I am knitting the socks out of Fiber Charmer sock yarn in the Red Grapes colorway. I am knitting on a size US 2 needle. A great tip is to never really bring nothing to hard with you on a trip because you want to have a vacation and your fun project with you too. I have one so far done and the other one is still on the needles. Here is a picture of the socks.

If you are flowing the group on Ravelry, you all may know that we had a KAL in December. The KAL was the memory of Karrie aka Knitpurlgurl. Sadly, she passed away a few months ago and when I heard about it I was like omg we really need to do a KAL in the memory of her. The KAl did end January 3,2013 there was so many finished objects in my group also in others as well. I was gifted one of her patters by Judy aka Miazoe. She gifted me the pattern called the Crosswords in the Coffee house shawl. I knitted my shawl out of my own handspun and the handspun is a 100% Falkland on a size US 8 5.0MM needle. The fiber is kinda itchy but the finished object is very beautiful!!

As you all my know from watching the show I'v been working on a dress for myself. The dress pattern is from Joann fabrics and also the fabric is from Joann's as well. I am very impressed on how well  it is turning out. I was sewing last night and I got the zipper in and wow when you put in the zipper the whole dress comes together. Here is a picture of the dress on Lucy my mannequin.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this blog post! Stay tuned for more!

Hugs,
Kirsten
